There’s no need to get out the paint–not with metal buildings from Lester Buildings. Lester’s engineers developed fabulous Uni-Rib siding, steel interior kits, and Eclipse Roofing Systems. Each boasts exceptional substrate coating applied to the steel before the paint.

Warrantied to perform in the cruelest Colorado storms, our classy protective substrate coatings and paint systems will protect the steel layers. We apply substrate coatings to the steel before the paint. This inhibits rust and corrosion, providing durability. Our inviting metal buildings look great for decades.

Protective Substrate Coatings

Our Lester Buildings Systems offer two protective substrate coating options. AZ50 Galvalume® uses a mixture of aluminum and zinc to protect against rust and corrosion. Galvalume outperforms galvanized by up to nine times in non-livestock facilities with equivalent coating thickness. Both the 26- and 28-gauge Uni-Rib™ steel panel and the Eclipse Roof System™ offer this coating.

G90 Galvanized uses pure zinc to protect against rust and corrosion. The Uni-Rib steel panel uses a galvanization process that adds a layer of corrosion protection to both sides of the panel. In addition, it provides good paint adhesion and scratch resistance. Interior panels for lined/insulated structures are available in 30-gauge G40 Galvanized, Polyester paint.

Paint Systems

Lester Buildings offers two choices of paint systems, age with outstanding warranties. Available in seventeen colors, Valspar Weather XL® Silicone Modified Polyester (SMP) provide standard reliable durability at a lower price for the exterior panels. Valspar Fluropon® Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) offers increased fade protection especially for dark colored roofs. Select from 20 colors. Our paint systems leverage extra protection against the elements including ultra-violet rays, acidic rain, humidity and normal handling/wear and tear.

Roof System Color

The roof stands as another outstanding way to dress metal buildings with warm colors. We use an extremely sustainable color formulation for the roof systems. It shuns chalking, fading, and reds rusts, enabling clear color over time.

Our patented Eclipse Roof Systems employ a unique rib and snap-on batten system. Formed from specially engineered 36-inch metal roof panels, our system surpasses the competition in beauty and function. The design’s structural integrity makes an outstanding weathertight seal.
