Roof Designs for Stylish Equestrian Buildings in Colorado

Stylish post-frame equestrian buildings in Colorado are engineered to last a lifetime.  Sapphire Builds custom designs outbuildings for horses that blend with all kinds of rural and semi-rural neighborhoods.  Designs for personal equine buildings and commercial equine facilities are carefully selected during a thorough planning process and produce excellent results.  We serve Douglas County and the surrounding area.

Sample:  Roof Design of Personal Colorado Horse Barn

The owners of a recently constructed Douglas County horse barn selected a four-stall building with 6/12 roof pitch on the barn which tapers down to a 3/12 roof pitch on the porches.  They added dormers for style and natural lighting and the cupola at the peak.  The interior features a tall central area with the stalls on one side.  The other side includes workrooms and a loft area.

Attractive brick wainscoting balances out the extended porches on two sides of the building.  The porches provide cover and shade for the four horse stalls on one side of the barn; they provide a place for people or small equipment on the other side.

Roof Designs Suitable for Equestrian Buildings in Colorado

Our custom design team is ready to assist property owners to choose the best design options and floor plans to fulfill their needs and dreams.  The choice of roof sets the style and impression from afar.  Some may choose the flying gable with the widow’s peak while others prefer the higher ceilings available from the gambrel roof.

The no-nonsense deep fascia overhang and the partial lean-to are also popular.  Gable awnings, wraparound mansards, the hipped porch, wraparound porch and step-down side porch are chosen for not only style but practical reasons.

Possibilities for roofs include shingles, standing seam roof, uni-rib steel roof, the standing seam roof, and more.  For owners of Colorado horse properties, the best options depend on the roof pitch, interior uses, and the cost.

Colorado Horse Buildings

Located south of Denver, Douglas County spans a gorgeous area in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.  Much of the Central Colorado equine real estate is small acreage property purchased to accommodate hobbies and horses.  Personal and commercial equestrian buildings are some of the rewarding projects constructed by Sapphire Construction, Inc. in the area.  We are familiar with zoning requirements and how to complement the incredible scenery in the area between Denver and Colorado Springs.
