Introducing the Superior Eclipse Metal Roof System
Lester Buildings recently introduced a very innovative metal roof system. Branded the “Eclipse Group System TM,” the state-of-the-art design addresses both beauty and function. The metal panels accommodate a minimum roof slope of ½:12. The maximum panel length is 44 ft. And the construction and materials are offered at great value.
Unmatched Curb Appeal
Architects appreciate the clean, modern lines of the Eclipse Metal Roof System. It allows designers to create a sleek impression while using what appears to be a standing seam metal roof. A good-looking roof snaps over the ribs of 36-inch panels. Both standard colors and custom colors are available in this roof product by Lester buildings. The panels are mfd. with a protective coating substrate, AZ50 Galvalume. Valspar’s Weather XL TM or Fluorpon® Paint Systems are available.
Structural Integrity
Key to the superior strength of this roof design is the batten. As it conceals the metal roof fasteners, the shape and height of the major rib offers immense structural stability. The patented design incorporates through-fastened panels that add strength to the diaphragm. These far beyond what can be achieved with the traditional standing seam roof. This unique rib and snap on batten system is highly effective. It eliminates exposed panel fasteners and reduces the chance of air and water leaks.
Cost Effective
the Eclipse Roof System also adds tremendous value in comparison to the typical standing seam roof. How? The design cuts the cost of materials and labor. The building will require only a fraction of the materials as a standing seam roof. It uses 1/3 to ½ fewer panels and about 80 percent fewer fasteners. For example, a regular standing seam roof uses 83 exposed to screws for 100 square feet. A Eclipse Roof System conceals its 33 screws needed for every 100 sqft. This means lower costs for material and labor and better value.
Construction is faster. The 26gauge Eclipse Roof System may be installed directly over open purlins. Roof decks are not required, however, they are recommended if using the 28gauge panel.
