Fix Up Garages or Build New Custom Garages Colorado?

Hold off building your custom garages Colorado until you’ve tried every other way to organize.  Or maybe you’re the kind who just want a great garage that works here in Central Colorado — Douglas County to Jefferson and Ebert counties — and you want it now.  Just let us know.  But maybe you’d like to try fixing up your current garage.

How to Stretch your Current Garage or Prep for New One

custom garages coloradoThose of you who want to put off investing in a new garage, try organizing everything, every little thing you want to keep in the garage.  And also think about any activities taking place in the garage.  In any event, this is good practice for the day when you decide it’s time to add custom garages Colorado to your Front Range property.

Organize Sections

  1. Divide the garage into specific areas and tackle one at a time. If you have a two-car garage, divide the long wall at the front into four parts. The doorway will be section 1.  Since the attached garage entrance has become new front door in modern America, start with making the doorway good-looking and functional. Add hooks for coats and backpacks, racks for boots and shoes, and possibly bins for often used sports equipment. Paint the door and add a little bit of welcoming décor.
  2. Section 2 could be used for items needing easy access. Perhaps it is a staging area for items coming and going like bottled water.
  3. Section 3 may be a large tool pegboard with a workbench in front of it. The workbench could be put on hinges so that it folds down.
  4. Section 4 could be used for storage cabinets holding paints and gardening apparatus.
  5. Section 5 are the areas alongside the vehicles were the doors open. These sections can be outfitted with door bumpers. Storage shelves placed high close to the ceiling on both sides of the garage are good for holding boxes of things that are rarely used such as Christmas decorations, seasonal clothing and sports equipment, etc.
  6. Section 6 are closest to the garage door. This area may hold the trashcan and narrow racks for shovels and rakes, skis and sleds.
  7. Section 7 is the ceiling area above the vehicle hoods.  This is the perfect area to hang racks that hold large plastic bins, bicycles, kayaks, etc.
