- Foundation: An anchored foundation supports the pole building through three basic systems. Posts anchored below grade with clear0span truss roof or rafter-style roof as well as posts anchored to a foundation.
- Framing: Interlocking wall systems are constructed with nail-laminated columns formed from several plies—2x4s to 2x12s. Finger-jointing creates a strong bond in both the Continuous Girt and Flush-Frame systems.
- Raw Lumber: Using a sophisticated lumber grading system, Lester selects wood species, grade and strength to suit each column, girt and purlin. Every piece of lumber will be stamped and certified to reflect design values, species group, lumber origin, assigned grade, moisture content, and grading agency. Based on conditions, one of three types of treated lumber will be used.
- Steel Panels: All steel is measured in gauge, tensile yield strength, and shape. Then protective substrate coatings and paint systems protect the steel. The strong, beautiful Uni-Rib™ steel panel is exclusive to Lester Building Systems.
- Fasteners & Connections: To safeguard building strength, Lester Buildings disperse weight using many smaller fasteners, rather than one large fastener. A variety of fasteners are selected depending on the conditions.
- Doors & Windows: Lester designs and manufactures wind-rated sliding steel doors. Specially-lubricated trolleys for easy and quiet gliding, a rounded self-cleaning track. Select the Power Pivot™ Hydraulic Door, Clopay Overhead Doors, AJ Walk Doors, Expi-Door Systems, and Hayfield Windows.
- Insulation & Vapor Barriers: Several insulation and vapor barrier systems insure better quality air and air flow. These include Tuff-Roll Insulation and Vapor, WMP-VR Insulation and Vapor Barrier, DripStop Condensation Control, Interior Liner and Insulation System, Uni-Rib™ Liner, and Acoustical Liner Panel.
