Break Ground on New Fire Stations Pole Buildings

Does your community need to break ground on a new fire station?  We recommend new pole buildings.  Protecting the homes and properties along the Colorado Front Range from fire damage can be serious business with our growing population.  We live near vast forests vulnerable to lightning strikes.  We need more rural fire stations and improving metro fire suppression tools to handle the sprawling growth.

Lester Pole Buildings for Fire Stations

pole buildingsSapphire Construction, Inc., a Castle Rock builder, partners with Lester Buildings to bring engineered custom pole buildings for auto shops, garages, and stations.  The tall ceilings and large open span, number of bays, top quality door systems, ventilation and insulation, rest rooms and kitchen, bunk rooms, offices and storage areas needed by career and volunteer fire departments are incorporated using post frame construction.

Add a little landscaping and an attractive front, any town or subdivision will be proud to have one of our fire stations woven into its streetscape.  But the best parts of our pole building design include lower costs, solid warranties, and quick construction.  Let’s get your new fire station up and operating.

Colorado Population Growth

Colorado has recently been adding over 100,000 new residents a year.  A good portion of the increase is along the Front Range.  It is part of one of the fast-growing regions in the country.  Douglas County’s population grew 12.93 percent between 2010 and 2015 to 322,387.  Most of the county is rural.

Out of 50 USA cities, Denver registered the largest increase in residents with 2.8 percent population gain (mid 2015 to mid-2016).  The Mile High City has become the 19th most populous city.  Population increased 13.73 percent in Denver County between 2010 and 2015.

Local Fire Station Projects

Colorado had about 320 fire departments at the end of 2014.  New stations have been added every year.  Several communities in the region broke ground on new fire stations: Bayfield, Arvada, Black Forest, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Sedalia, Fort Carson, Longmont, Parker, Denver, Lakewood…and the list goes on.

As more and more people move into the area, residents of new subdivisions, farms, and ranches will expect fire services.  Some fire districts operate several fire stations.  They may also assist with ambulance services.  It takes at least one firefighter to serve each 1,000 residents.  Let’s see, with 100,000 new residents moving into Colorado every year, we will need 100 new firefighters.  How many stations depends on what communities receive the newcomers.
